"The Bridge Fugue: Variations on Emptiness" published in Daily Science Fiction

My story "The Bridge Fugue: Variations on Emptiness" is out in today's DSF.

I wrote this last January (before anyone around here started talking about lockdowns....). Some of the comments I got from other writers compared it to Samuel Beckett's work, and I like that comparison. I was definitely aiming for that kind of existential mood.

I also like how this bookends the year--in January, my first publication of the year was also in DSF. I will be working on a round-up of this year's publications shortly, with links to everything that's come out this year.

Enjoy!
